At the trade fair IDS 2009 Renfert GmbH showcased the new high-power cleaning device "SYMPRO". "SYMPRO" offers timesaving preparation for prosthetic dentures, bite-guards and orthodontic appliances. Based on the specifically developed abrasive materials and the cleaning fluids and a maximum hygiene standard "SYMPRO" generates high value for dental clinic, the laboratory and patient.

Dental technicians had to ground the sprockets manually. With the new arch trimmer a fast remove of the roughly surplus of the cast is possible. At the same time the "Millo" smoothes with less pressure the plaster surface with the result of a clean surface contour. Samples clearly demonstrate the return of investment within one year even in small labs.

Renfert developed a new working tool for dental technicians. Until now by using hammer or pliers the cured cast was removed of dental impressions. It is now possible to use the "Pillo" for a controlled removable of cast and investment material. The structure is set into vibration so that if falls as itself apart. There are no uncontrolled and insecure shock waves or tensions, which could be transferred to the castings. The mass drops down quick and easily.

Ahape realised the design of the product as long-term project partner of Renfert.

The Renfert GmbH is a leading manufacturer of devices in dentistry, in blasting units and the electronic waxing-up sector, but also wet and dry trimmer. For nearly two years ahape accompanies the Renfert GmbH with the development of a uniform equipment line.
The first results of this process rolled now onto the market: The new electric waxing-up "Waxlectric I and II". Based on the existing preheating wax devices the new bodies were formed in a compact, ergonomic design.

The new Renfert Duomix mixing machine offers quick mixing and dispensing of impression resins for the dental field.
The fully automatic operation is controlled with only three buttons – two speed settings and a timer, which makes for convenient operation.
The Duomix constantly monitors fill levels of the material cartridges, and a warning light and automatic stop feature guarantee secure operation over extended periods.

The new Vibrax Vibrator makes sure that viscous casting resins are freed of entrapped air bubbles from even the tightest corners of dental castings, reducing waste and producing flawless results. The design ensures that vibrations are transferred only to the casting resin and not to the workbench.
Every-day laboratory situations were taken into account in the design of the large and easily operated switches, which make settings with a push of the hand or elbow possible.

The durable and maintenance-free construction, innovative features, and a modern design that communicates these values made the Vibrax one of the most popular products at the IDS fair in Cologne.

The new PerioSonic handpiece, together with the ultrasonic PerioScan table-top device from Sirona Dental Systems GmbH, will simplify and improve diagnosis in the field of Paradentology.
The innovative handpiece incorporates a sensor for the reliable detection of dental concretions, and the results are indicated using colour-changing lights on the handpiece.

ahape supported the development of the handpiece through an internal Innovation Workshop with the themes of product design and ergonomic form.

Lightpolymerisation devices are used in the dental field for the hardening of tooth replacement materials. The task was to redesign the UniXS model. The client requested a new, modern housing design which would communicate the high quality and speed of the device. Part of the design task was the innovative pull-out drawer with integrated plastic canister and air filter, as well as a clear, easy to understand instruction area. The market roll-out of the UniXS is planned for fall of 2002.

With this device dental technicians benefit from a dual-level filter system with a removal rate of 99.9 %. The enormous, adjustable suction power makes Silent truly outstanding. Being compact, with a reserved design and extremely quiet when running it is also suitable for use at the workplace. Both the design and noise reduction work were carried out in our studios.

The new "Classic 160" is the result of ongoing R & D and is not just any old wheelchair but, thanks to its high degree of flexibility and adaptability, it is 180 various wheelchairs in one! Adaptability to various user needs without additional parts, a high degree of functionality and reliability make this wheelchair into an extraordinary product in the standard and light-weight segment.

Based on the pre-defined pivotal points the existing immobilization brake was revamped in terms of design and construction. As a result, several metal parts were able to be replaced by better value plastic elements. The innovation: an integrated single-hand brake that functions by means of an optional Bowden control.

The "Power 160E" stands out not just for its highly compact, maneuverable overall concept but also for the attention to detail of its practice-oriented features.

In intensive co-operation with the company Stratec was developed a full automat for blood group serology. Strips with the patient’s blood test are inserted in the equipment. Automatically start several treatments such as vibrating, rotating, cooling, rinses and warming up. With a CCD camera the results are evaluated and stored together with the patient data in the system.

This project involved redesigning the existing Easy model, while maintaining its basic construction. The parts, for example, framework, grips, adjustment plate, brakes, linkage fittings, fork and footrests were all redesigned for a unified appearance. The overall form language of the redesign achieved the light-weight and contemporary appearance the client desired.

Increasing complex medical equipment requires increasing effort for physician, public health sector employees and sick person.
