April 2010 – Wiha »ErgoStar« is honoured with the red dot award: product design 2010
The Wiha »ErgoStar« of Wiha one of the leading manufacturers in the world for hand tools for professional has just been presented with the coveted iF product design award 2010 in gold for product family that features outstanding design. The extraordinary design quality combined with highest functionality convinced the international jury of experts that awards iF product design award in 16 categories. Only 50 of about 2,500 products submitted are presented with iF gold award, and all award winners can be admired in the iF product design award museum.

March 2010 – Allit presents storage »PRO« news in Cologne
The Allit AG showcased at the international hardware fair in Cologne 2010 more than 50 new products. E.g. the basic tool cases »McPlus PRO Work«, which offers flexibility thanks to a whole range of features; the service case »AluPlus PRO Service« with professional protection and safety for transport and storage purposes and the boxes set »AluPlus PRO Box« a light weight and stable box system for large loads. These products have been successfully developed in cooperation with ahape.

March 2010 – New »SpeedTrimmer« of Mozart AG
The Mozart AG presents at the Domotex from 16th to 19th of January in Hannover the new »SpeedTrimmer«. With this product you can stand and easily cut off the welds, as the »SpeedTrimmer« is equipped with a long handle on rolls. The »SpeedTrimmer« works according to the same principle as the »Trimmer«. Two flexible blades are arranged alternately and allow a clean and fast work process. Concept and construction of the »SpeedTrimmer« have been carried out by ahape GmbH.

February 2010 – HOUSE-WARE can opener »Profi Can Duo«
What are the characteristics of a professional can opener? Comfortable usability, little effort, high security by getting no sharp edges, fast and easily opening, no contact of the content with the opener and no dehydration by reclosing. This multi functional household product »Profi Can Duo« designed by ahape has these characteristics and many more additional functions. The newly developed technique offers the advantage of no sharp edges and no metal particles in the food.

February 2010 – HOUSE-WARE snap grater »FineCut«
The multi snap grater designed for HOUSE-WARE is the latest at the market of multi-purpose grater. The functional household product is fitted with 6 different grater surfaces to ease cooking. The material used by ahape has been reinforced by carbon-fibre. The 300-degree foldable multi-purpose grater is equipped with silicone feet that enable a secure and lightweight working. In each drawer you will find enough space for this folded-up innovation.

February 2010 – HOUSE-WARE defrost and cutting board system Profboard
Thanks to the defrost and cutting board system Profboard »Cool« of the House-Ware GmbH the quick-frozen food can be 10 times faster defrosted in comparison to the conventional way with ambient heat. The patented basic board of the system consists of a surface sealed metal alloy und is highly conductive for cold and heat. The board has a juice groove to collect the liquid while defrosting. You can use the food right after defrosting based on a patented easy click system of the cutting board. This board is antibacterial and consists of a special polypropylene material.

January 2010 – New carrying cases for Bosch
Since January 2010 all power tools of Bosch green line do-it-yourself are delivered with the new case design. This solid case with rounded edges and spacious carton inserts for product information stand out clearly in comparison to the existing green cases. The high quality and the innovation of the Bosch power tools are visible externally. Design, construction and project management by ahape GmbH.

November 2009 – New ergonomic design for Mapal setting device
In tight cooperation with ahape GmbH the Mapal KG developed the new device series »UNISET-V vision« with a high degree of user-friendliness. The new ergonomic design allows this setting device a free accessibility for the mobile tool trolley and an adjustable monitor with touch screen function for comfortable sitting and working. Intuitive and fast working is possible thanks to the touch screen - additionally practical trays ensure good order. ahape supported the Mapal KG with concept and specification.

Oktober 2009 – Lecture at FH Vorarlberg
Based on the lecture series »Controlled Product Development« Herbert Pauser gave a lecture at the Fachhhochschule Vorarlberg titled »Design is more than styling – Integration of Industrial Design in Product Development«. A designer has to be seen as a communicative connection between marketing and techniques combining innovative ideas and realistic implementation in their thinking. Creative designers are an important source of inspiration in the product process and thanks to process oriented acting valuable members of the product development team.

Oktober 2009 – ahape sets yardsticks with BRITA filter cartridge
The product development of the »PURITY C« was characterized by a high technological complexity and accurate specification of the user’s handling. ahape successfully defined in cooperation with BRITA new features and functions for the new filter cartridge.

August 2009 – Membership at INNONET Kunststoff
Since 2nd June 2009 the ahape GmbH is a member of INNONET Kunststoff. The INNONET Kunststoff is an initiative of the Technologiezentrum Horb GmbH and the regional Wirtschaftsförderung Nordschwarzwald (WFG Nordschwarzwald GmbH). July 2009 - Expert speaking at AGD annual conference
Dipl. Designer Herbert Pauser will give a speech at the AGD annual conference about "Designers are superfluous". The conference takes place in Mühlhausen from the 24th to 26th September 2009. As managing director of ahape GmbH, lecturer since many years a the Zurich University of the Arts and the Fachhochschule Vorarlberg University of Applied Science Herbert Pauser will report on the status and outlook of design. April 2009 - Reliable entry level model "Aluna"
"Aluna" is the entry-level model of the BRITA GmbH table water filtration family. With 2,4 liter total water capacity the Aluna has a slim design to fit in the fridge door. A clever Electronic Memo reminds to replace the filter cartridge once a month. The team of ahape GmbH created design and construction.

April 2009 - Premium packaging for "Uneo"
The "Uneo" case is characterized by a premium and pleasant appearance based on a square basic shape, lateral closures and components at handle and sides. The solid case for the innovative product "Uneo" stand out clearly to the existing green cases. The high quality and the innovation of the new product of Robert Bosch GmbH are made visible externally. Ahape was responsible for design, construction and project management.

April 2009 - Cleaning device "SYMPRO"
At the trade fair IDS 2009 Renfert GmbH showcased the new high-power cleaning device "SYMPRO". "SYMPRO" offers timesaving preparation for prosthetic dentures, bite-guards and orthodontic appliances. Based on the specifically developed abrasive materials and the cleaning fluids and a maximum hygiene standard "SYMPRO" generates high value for dental clinic, the laboratory and patient. The ahape GmbH provided design and construction.

The new portfolio of Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik GmbH covers comprehensive information on specific measurement applications for experts in diverse industries. The 16-sided portfolio was created in strong collaboration of ahape with QUEENS LAND communication.

Finally it is done - the acase systainer shop is now also available under www.acase.de. Get the complete systainer family including transport and storing capabilities at reasonable rates. Additionally you will find in our selection extremely tough system cases that are used by Air Cargo.

February 2009 - More office space for ahape in Darmstadt
