December 2008 - 3D animation for Güntner AG
Based on a workshop ahape set the first course for the condenser of the new series "GVX with microox technology" integrating the technical ideas of Güntner in principal casing structures. A modular casing structure was developed in close collaboration with the construction department of Güntner. Beside this, ahape created a 3D animation for a promotion film and photorealistic images for brochures.

September 2008 - "WZM 300" for quality control
Based on the outstanding success of the wave measurement machine "WMM 300 - 1000" the Schneider Messtechnik team has created a new dimension of tool setting - the "WZM". September 2008 - New carrying case for Geberit
By order of Plaston AG, the leading manufacturer of case solutions in Europe, ahape developed in a concept workshop the new carrying case for Geberit. The case should communicate the strategic direction of the company and be a strong and functional carrying case for the craftsmen. The case enjoying high demand was launched beginning this year.

September 2008 - New design for "Foldnak 100"
The new "Foldnak 100" was presented at the worldwide biggest trade fair for the printing and media industry the drupa 2008. The "Foldnak 100" is the new brochure machine for the professional printing finishing of Ernst Nagel GmbH. Based on the special concept developed for the "Foldnak 100" it offers more performance and speed. Equipped with stapling device it is optimally qualified fort he industrial offset production.

September 2008 - Growing demand for animation
Ahape had several requests for realistic product animation in the last months. The animation shows the product that is not yet realised so that the potential customer gets a first impression of design and function of the product. Ahape created e.g. for the "WZM 300" from Schneider Messtechnik an animation for a customer survey to calculate the potential of the machine.

March 2008 - The new Cocktail Cup, an ecological solution
Thanks to the new optimization of ahape the new Cocktail Cup is easy stackable and characterized by a high stability. The cup is lighter than a conventional glass and nearly unbreakable. You can serve hot and cold drinks with it. It has a high environmental compatibility also shown in a study of the Department of Environment of Germany, Austria and Switzerland with the result that the multi-way systems are ecological noticeable superior to the one-way systems.

March 2008 - Herbert Pauser for research term in New Zealand
Herbert Pauser is lecturing at the University of Otago New Zealand since February this year. The Department of Design focuses on sustainability and environmental design. The term will end mid May. This will have a great impact on the teaching activities at Zurich and the daily business at ahape. www.otago.ac.nz

March 2008 - Revision of BRITA Wasserfilter "Fjord"
The BRITA water filter "Fjord" popular in Great Britain was revised by ahape. The jug with holder and filter remains as it was. Special attention was paid on the cover. By filling the water the cover was removed completely. In order to make the handling easier the team of ahape realised a cover with a clack, which harmonize with visual appearance, and highlights the cover.

September 2007 - Herbert Pauser associate professor at ZHdK
Since more than 6 years Herbert Pauser is lecturing at the department Industrial Design at the
Zurich University of the Arts. Beginning the 1st of August 2007 the Zurich School of Music, Drama and Dance (HMT) and the School of Art and Design Zurich (HGKZ) merged into the Zurich University of the Arts. August 2007 - Best selling operation terminal
Elsner Elektronik is a successful specialist in shading control systems and ventilation of winter garden. In addition to the meteorological station the new operation terminal from Elsner Elektronik was launched - designed by ahape.

June 2007 - Rollout of the Formula Student Car
On 19th of June 2007 at 18:30 the racing car of the interdisciplinary "Fokusproject" celebrates his official rollout.
Mr. Herbert Pauser and Professor Michael Krohn supervise the product development.
The race will take place from 8th to 12th August 2007 in Hockenheim in Germany

March 2007 - Sirona SIROdoc adapts to any circumstance
ahape has developed a modular and flexible docking station for Sirona Dental Systems, an international leader in dental equipment.
SIROdoc was first introduced at the IDS fair in Cologne and got of on the right foot.

March 2007 – Allit McPlus Toolbox is Released onto the Market
For nearly 10 years, ahape has supported Allit AG with industrial design and engineering services in selected product areas. Most recently these services were sought out by Allit in their “Organization” category for the newly developed toolboxes ›McPlus Alu 21‹ and ›McPlus Alu 25‹.
These innovative toolboxes were presented at last year’s fair Practical World in Cologne, Germany, where they received extremely positive reviews, and are now in production. They will be available in leading well-stocked hardware retailers starting this spring. |

March 2007 - New Elsner Weather Station
This new weather station collects daylight intensity, temperature, wind velocity and humidity data, and has the capability to calculate sun position based on the date and time. The collected data can be used to reliably control the air-conditioning and window shade actuation for building automation systems.
ahape provided Elsner Elektonik with industrial design and engineering services for the housing of the weather station.

February 2007 - New ahape-Location in Canada
With our growing list of international clients and long-standing connections in Canada we have opened a new office in Vancouver, B.C., located on the west coast of Canada.
The new office will be led by Jim Landecker, an experienced industrial designer and mechanical engineer who has been involved with ahape since 2002. |

January 2007 - Dr. Schneider WMM Series: A Success Story
The new WMM Series is an ultra-fast system for the precise measurement of rotationally symmetric objects.
The measuring instrument, known affectionately inside the company as the "shower stall", was received very positively by the market and has already exceeded projected sales numbers.
As supporting designers in the project, we are very pleased by this success for Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik GmbH, as designing market-successful products for our clients is our foremost goal.

November 2006 - Mr.BoxX on the Euromold fair in Frankfurt
The Design Center Hesse presented seven offices for product design on the fair Euromold from 29 November to 02 December in Frankfurt/Main. As innovative product Mr. BoxX, the new tool and work box of the Plaston AG in Widnau / Switzerland was shown. The simple handling of the tool box and the innovative connection of several BoxXes are the exceptional advantages. |

October 2006 - Students design Formula Stundent car
In this semester Mr. Herbert Pauser supervises on two product developments together with Professor Michael Krohn in the context of the interdisciplinary "Fokusproject". A vehicle development, which runs under the conditions of the international competition “Formula Student” and a topic in the range of the robotics: a “mobile camera”.

The Wiha Professional pliers received the "Focus in Silver" award for their outstanding and trend-setting design.
Criteria such as design quality, innovative content, ergonomics and ecological aspects played a crucial role.
The range of multi-component Wiha Professional pliers is characterised by a comfortable and harmonious handle design. |

Great importance was also attached to ergonomics and optimum force transfer. Made from various soft, elastic and impact-resistant plastics, the hard and soft zones are arranged for maximum user benefit. |

August 2006 - Plaston launches Mr. BoxX onto the market
The innovative transport and work aid Mr. BoxX is now available in Switzerland. Herbert Pauser moderated innovation and technical workshops, which led to this novelty. Furthermore ahape did the design realisation of the first product ideas.

The new development of ahape, the device Waxlectric for the company Renfert launches on the market in this month. In the comparison to the former device there are some optimizations: the sheet housing could be replaced by a plastic housing and was formally adapted.

Leading water filter company Brita Water Filter Systems has launched Marella, a new water filter jug. Marella uses the Maxtra cartridge. ahape was the responsible agency for design and engineering of both products.

February 2005 - Design Report
In the 2/05 edition of Design Report there is a report on the "Hifi goes, music comes" project at the Academy of Art and Design in Zurich. It produced designs of a, for the most part, sculptural, object-like character. The students were supervised by Sebastian Stroschein and Herbert Pauser.
